GIZ Ghana is promoting inclusive, job-creating growth in Ghana to enhance employment prospects. Training and income-generating opportunities are therefore to be improved for low-income households, disadvantaged groups, returnees and individuals intending to migrate. The aim is also to promote the private sector and digitalisation, in particular.
GIZ Ghana aims to achieve this by supporting businesses, tech start-ups and disadvantaged individuals with advisory services, financial instruments, and short-term and long-term training.
As a stabilising force in the region, Ghana has been one of Germany’s reform partner countries since 2017. The objective of the reform partnership is to improve general conditions for private-sector involvement in order to create jobs and incomes, particularly for young people. The focus of the reform partnership with Ghana is on promoting private investment in renewable energy and energy efficiency.
