IPA Ghana is one of our largest offices and home to the Teacher Community Assistant Initiative, agricultural insurance research, and other key studies in the areas of education, finance, and health.
IPA Ghana has a long history of collaborating with the Ministry of Education to support improving learning outcomes. Our office in Tamale, in the North of Ghana, was also the site of one of the six ultra-poor graduation studies and is currently leading a large study that aims to understand how to cost-effectively help farmers produce better crops and increase their earnings.

1. Coordinator, Embedded Lab
- Cultivating relationships with key local top-level decision-makers in the education sector and ensure the project has their buy-in and input
- Producing policy briefs on key policy questions that can be answered using the Ministry’s own data
- Supporting the development of a policy-driven research agenda for the lab and facilitating the development of research projects to respond to the agenda

2. Senior Manager, Embedded Lab
- Leading the development of relationships with key local top-level decision-makers in the education sector and ensure the project has their buy-in and input
- Directly supervising a highly functioning team to develop the Ed Lab, paying particular attention to their professional growth

3. Senior Advisor, Right-Fit Evidence Unit
- Map the data needs of various directorates within the Ministry against the existing data available, complemented with an assessment of its quality
- Assess existing datasets and indicators according to criteria of relevance, objectivity, and reliability
- Design prototyping and pilot exercises to answer key learning questions
