Since 2013, Farmerline has directly helped farmers to improve their productivity and profit in Ghana and also provided technical support to other organizations to do the same. Farmerline started its operations serving 400 farmers in the Ashanti Region of Ghana with information via mobile information services. Over the past 8 years, Farmerline and its partnership network have profiled and served over 1million farmers and digitized over 1,000,000 acres of farmland across 16 countries in Africa. 1. GIS Specialist
In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to shape the business’ mapping activities. Critical thinking and problem-solving skills are key to this role as business units will be developing strategies and plans based on your analysis, insights and solutions
2. Senior Agronomist
The Agronomist drives the most impactful agricultural practices that lead to high productivity for Farmerline’s small-scale producers and provides technical backstopping to our farm services. For this, we are recruiting an experienced agricultural professional to support farmer education programs for farmers across the cereals, legumes, vegetables, and cash crop value chains in Ghana. The role also requires the specialist to have a high extension experience and be keen on behaviour change to increase farmer adoption of best management practices
3. Sector Manager
Connecting farmers to quality farm inputs and relevant information are key Farmerline’s interventions in creating lasting profit for the farmers we serve while creating jobs for micro-entrepreneurs in the value chains we work in. For this, we are recruiting experienced agricultural/business professionals to scale our reach to thousands of farmers through agribusinesses and well-established farmer cooperatives. The Sector Manager will work to build new partnerships, ensuring that these partners subscribe to our core bundle of services including inputs, digital finance, and farmer education. Ultimately, the Sector Manager ensures registered farmers in the operational area make a lasting profit
4. Commercial Manager
The Commercial Manager will lead the management of all business operations including sourcing of commodities, budgeting, client and project management and input sales of the operational area
5. Food Quality Assurance Manager
The Food QA Manager will be responsible for ensuring that sourced commodities meet standards set by both client companies and regulatory authorities. They shall develop and review quality and safety policies and manage audits by third-party inspectors. The Manager will train other team members and oversee all processes including Compliance, and Document and Records Control
6. Product Manager
The Product Manager will be responsible for the strategy, roadmap, and feature definition of our mobile and web product line. As a Product Manager you will define and lead the execution of our various product solutions and deliver innovative and groundbreaking products that scale. You will also be in charge of leading and coordinating engineering efforts to align with Farmerline’s business goals.
7. Senior Partnerships Manager – Development Grants
The purpose of the Senior Partnerships Manager – Development Grants role, is to support Farmerline’s partnership Development efforts with Development partners like the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO), United States Agency for International Development (USAID), European Union and International contractors and implementers including contracting organizations and International NGOs. Farmerline has, with little investment, achieved a successful track record in this area and we are looking to increase our performance to make more impact. You will be evaluated based on partnerships initiated and managed successfully. The ideal candidate is a self-starter and a team player, has strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills and a deep understanding and network of the industry
