Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain an electronic system
  • Scanning, photocopying and storing digital document
  • Indexing, tracking and setting up easy retrieval systems of documents
  • Authenticate and appraise historical documents and archival materials
  • Ensure document security in archiving
  • Create and maintain accessible, retrievable computer archives and databases
  • Organize archival records and develop classification systems to facilitate access to archival materials
  • Neatly arrange and organize original and rare documents and manuscripts
  • Maintain and manage log books and records of staff visitors and the archival documents they accessed

  • Higher National Diploma
  • Knowledge of archiving principles
  • Record conservation skills
  • Description and ordering techniques
